Loop's Tale

Meet Loop — a handsome, happy, tri-color bernedoodle mini with a personality as big as his heart and a coat that captures everything classic and beautiful about the breed. Loop is dressed in the timeless Bernedoodle palette: deep black across his body, warm rust accents around his face and legs, and crisp white markings that highlight his chest and chin. He’s the kind of puppy that makes people stop mid-sentence to point and say, “What is that, and where can I get one?”

Loop is a micro-sized bernedoodle mini, expected to mature at 20–25 pounds — a fantastic size that bridges the gap between tiny toy dogs and larger, more demanding breeds. He’s compact enough to travel comfortably, light enough to lift when needed, and perfectly proportioned for life in a wide range of homes, from cozy apartments to larger family houses. He won’t take up much space, but he will absolutely fill up your world.

What makes Loop truly special, beyond his striking good looks, is his personality. He is one of the most genuinely joyful puppies in our litter — a dog who seems to approach every moment of life with enthusiasm and gratitude. He bounces into play sessions with full-body excitement, greets familiar faces with uncontainable tail wags, and curls up for nap time with a contentment that’s utterly contagious. Loop has a natural ability to make everyone around him feel happier just by being in the room.

The bernedoodle mini, as a category, has surged in popularity over the last decade — and Loop demonstrates exactly why. These dogs are engineered by happy genetic accident to be wonderful companions. From the Bernese Mountain Dog, they inherit loyalty, gentleness, and an almost magical ability to attune themselves emotionally to the people they love. From the Poodle, they get intelligence, trainability, and that famously low-shedding coat that makes them a dream for allergy-sensitive households. Loop has won the genetic lottery on all counts.

Loop is already showing impressive trainability for his age. He responds to his name reliably, engages with early enrichment activities with focus and curiosity, and is clearly motivated by both praise and food rewards. Bernedoodles are ranked among the most trainable companion dog breeds, and Loop is living proof of that reputation. He will thrive with consistent positive reinforcement training and is the kind of dog who genuinely enjoys the learning process. He’s not just compliant — he’s enthusiastic.

His tri-color coat is soft, wavy, and wonderfully textured — the kind of coat that invites endless petting. The black, rust, and white coloring is rich and clearly defined, giving Loop that polished, eye-catching appearance that Bernedoodle enthusiasts cherish. His coat is low-shedding, which means less cleanup for you, though regular brushing and periodic grooming appointments will keep it looking its best. A well-groomed bernedoodle mini like Loop is genuinely one of the most beautiful sights in the dog world.

Loop has been raised at Paw Tale Puppies with intentional, loving care from the very beginning. Early neurological stimulation, gentle handling, and progressive socialization have all been part of his daily routine. As a result, he is a confident, well-rounded puppy who is comfortable in new situations, easy to handle, and happy to meet new people and animals. He plays well with other dogs, is gentle with children, and has an even temperament that makes him adaptable to a wide variety of household dynamics.

In temperament, Loop leans toward the classic Bernedoodle sweet spot: calm and cuddly when the situation calls for it, but active and playful when the energy is there. He’ll happily go for a walk, chase a ball in the yard, or romp with kids — and then follow you to the couch for the next two hours without a single complaint. That balance of active and relaxed is one of the most valued traits in a bernedoodle mini, and Loop has it in abundance.

Loop will come home health-checked, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped, along with a Paw Tale Puppies health guarantee and puppy starter pack. Our team is here every step of the way — from the moment you meet Loop to every milestone of his first year and beyond. We are as invested in his success as you will be.

If you’ve been looking for a bernedoodle mini who is handsome, joyful, smart, gentle, and absolutely brimming with love — Loop is your dog. He is the full package, waiting for the right family to make his world complete. Could that be you?

Micro Mini Bernedoodles

The Micro Bernedoodle is our smallest take on the Bernedoodle, bred for families who want that same loving Bernedoodle spirit in an especially compact package. Rather than crossing directly from a Bernese Mountain Dog, our Micro lines come primarily from Poodle and Mini Bernedoodle pairings, allowing us to bring the size down while still preserving the intelligence, affection, and playful nature Bernedoodles are known for. Their low-shed coats make them a wonderful option for allergy-sensitive households, while their eager-to-please nature makes training a genuinely enjoyable experience.

Micro Bernedoodles typically inherit the best traits of their lineage, resulting in a charming, adaptable companion that fits beautifully into smaller homes and apartment living. Despite their petite size, they carry big personalities — affectionate, loyal, and always eager to be wherever their family is. Whether you’re looking for a lap-sized cuddle buddy or a spirited little shadow to follow you around the house, the Micro Bernedoodle brings that same devoted nature in a smaller frame.

With their soft, wavy-to-curly coats and warm, expressive eyes, Micro Bernedoodles are undeniably charming. Coat colors and patterns can vary widely, but that classic scruffy, huggable look remains a constant. Regular grooming helps keep their coat healthy and mat-free. Overall, the Micro Bernedoodle offers an ideal combination of intelligence, affection, and easy-to-manage size for families who want a smaller dog without sacrificing personality.

Common Questions

Finding the perfect furry friend, can come with a lot of questions we are happy to answer any and all questions!

What is a Micro Bernedoodle?

It’s a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Toy Poodle, often bred across multiple generations to achieve the tiny size. A Micro Bernedoodle is even smaller than a “Mini,” typically weighing between 10 and 20 pounds.

How long do Micro Bernedoodles live?

Their lifespan is quite long, usually 14 to 18 years. One of the best perks of shrinking the breed is the lifespan. While a purebred Bernese may only live 7–9 years, a Micro Bernedoodle can live much longer, largely because the smaller heart and joints of the Poodle lineage are less prone to “giant breed” issues.

Are they high energy?

They have “bursts” of energy followed by long naps. While they love a good 20-minute game of fetch, they don’t require the miles of walking that a larger dog does, making them perfect for owners who prefer a more relaxed lifestyle.

Are Micro Bernedoodles 100% hypoallergenic?

While no dog is truly 100% hypoallergenic, Micros are as close as it gets. Because they are mostly Poodle (genetically speaking), they produce very little dander. If you have severe allergies, look for an F1b generation, which is 75% Poodle.

How Often should they be groomed?

Since they don’t shed, the dead hair can get trapped in the coat. If not brushed daily, this hair creates “mats” which act like tight knots against the skin. We recommend a professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks.

Are they hard to train?

Don’t let the “toy” look fool you; these dogs are highly intelligent. The Poodle is consistently ranked as the second smartest dog breed in the world. They are incredibly bright. They inherit the “problem-solving” skills of the Poodle and the “emotional intelligence” of the Bernese. They can learn tricks in just a few repetitions, but they can also use that brainpower to figure out how to open cabinets or find hidden treats!
