Learn More About Micro Bernedoodle Puppies

Micro Bernedoodles

The Micro Bernedoodle is one of our smallest takes on the Bernedoodle, sitting just above our Toy line — proof that a big heart doesn’t need a big frame. Rather than crossing directly from a Bernese Mountain Dog, our Micro lines come from breeding a Mini Bernedoodle back to a Poodle, pushing the poodle genetics up to 60–65%+ so the size comes down while the intelligence, affection, and playful spirit that make Bernedoodles so beloved stay fully intact. That heavier poodle influence is also what gives them their low-shed, allergy-friendly coat, making them one of our most hypoallergenic options.

Big personality, small package — that’s the Micro Bernedoodle story. They inherit the best of both lines: affectionate, loyal, and eager to please, which makes training feel less like a chore and more like a conversation. They fit beautifully into smaller homes and apartment living, but don’t let their size fool you — wherever their family goes, they’re right there beside them, lap-sized shadow and all.

Their soft, wavy-to-curly coats come in a wide range of colors and patterns, but that scruffy, huggable look is always there. Regular grooming keeps things healthy and mat-free. As with every dog in our program, our Micro Bernedoodles’ parents go through OFA health testing as part of our ongoing commitment to sound, healthy breeding — because a good coat should never come at the expense of a good foundation. For families wanting all that classic Bernedoodle charm in a compact, easy-to-manage size, the Micro Bernedoodle is hard to beat.

Deep Dive Into Our Bernedoodle Sizing

Toy Bernedoodle: 10 - 20 Lbs

Our Toy Bernedoodles are produced through carefully selected pairings of smaller parents, with each generation helping us refine their compact size. Because genetics are unique, no two pairings produce exactly the same result, but our Toy Bernedoodles are generally expected to mature between 10–20 pounds.

Micro Bernedoodle: 25 - 35 Lbs

Micro Bernedoodles fall into the sweet spot between our smallest Toys and larger Mini Bernedoodles, with some natural size overlap between the two. Their mature size is influenced by the size and genetics of both parents, with our pairings selected to consistently produce that smaller Bernedoodle build. What sets the Micro apart isn’t just size, though — it’s a heavier emphasis on Poodle genetics, which shapes a coat that leans more consistently low-shed and hypoallergenic. Most of our Micros are expected to mature between 25–35 pounds.

Mini Bernedoodle: 25 - 35 Lbs

Mini Bernedoodles typically mature between 25–35 pounds, with their final size depending on the genetics and size of their parents. Our program specializes primarily in Toy, Micro, and even smaller Munchkin Bernedoodles, so while we do occasionally have a Mini litter, they’re less common for us than our smaller sizes.

Meet Our Bernedoodles By Coat Color

Merle Bernedoodles

No two Merle Bernedoodles look quite the same. Their coats feature beautiful marbling, patches, and variations of color that can create truly one-of-a-kind markings. While we love the uniqueness of merle, health always comes first in our breeding program—we never breed two merle dogs together, avoiding the increased health risks associated with double merle puppies.

Black Tri Bernedoodles

The Black Tri is the classic Bernedoodle look, drawing its beautiful black, white, and rust coloring from the traditional markings of the Bernese Mountain Dog. It’s a timeless coat that celebrates the breed’s heritage and gives our puppies that unmistakable Bernedoodle appearance families have loved from the beginning.

Red Tuxedo Bernedoodles

There’s something especially elegant about a Red Tuxedo Bernedoodle. Their rich red coloring paired with crisp white markings creates a bright, polished look reminiscent of a perfectly tailored tuxedo. Add in the playful, joyful personality of a Bernedoodle, and you get a puppy whose appearance is every bit as cheerful and charming as the dog underneath it.

Chocolate Bernedoodles

There’s something irresistibly cozy about a Chocolate Bernedoodle. Their deep, warm brown coat has a rich, velvety quality that catches the light like a fresh cup of cocoa, giving them a look that’s as comforting as it is striking. Pair that with the goofy, affectionate nature Bernedoodles are known for, and you get a puppy whose warmth isn’t just in the coat — it’s in the whole package.

What Are Your Breeding Practices?

At Paw Tale Puppies, we take our responsibility as breeders very seriously—our puppies are truly our world. Every step of our process is built around raising healthy, happy, and well-socialized companions. We place strong emphasis on genetic testing to ensure the long-term health of our lines, and every puppy receives thorough veterinary checks before going home. We also believe that early socialization is key, so we dedicate time each day to nurturing confidence, curiosity, and connection in every pup. To give you peace of mind, all of our puppies come with a health guarantee, because we stand behind the care and quality of every life we bring into the world.

What Food Do Your Puppies Eat?

At Paw Tale Puppies, we feed our puppies a balanced blend of high-quality dry kibble and raw dog food from Nature’s Way Pet Food. This combination supports optimal gut health, which plays a key role in your puppy’s digestion, immune system, and overall well-being. The raw component provides natural nutrients and enzymes, while the dry kibble ensures complete daily nutrition and crunch for dental health. We believe this diet gives our puppies the healthiest start possible, helping them grow into strong, happy companions.

Can I come Visit The Puppies?

Without question, meeting your future puppy is one of the most important parts of the process—and one we truly value at Paw Tale Puppies. We would love nothing more than for you to meet your future pup in person! You’re always welcome to visit. Simply reach out to us, and we’ll help schedule a time that works best for you. We can’t wait for you to experience the joy of connecting with your new furry family member face-to-face.

Do You Offer Facetime Meet & Greets?

Absolutely! If traveling to us is a challenge, we’d love to schedule a FaceTime meet & greet at a time that works best for you. It’s our pleasure to help you connect with your puppy virtually, ensuring you feel confident and excited about your new furry family member before pickup or delivery.

Are You Able To Deliver My Puppy?

Yes, we absolutely offer delivery options! At Paw Tale Puppies, we want to make sure your new furry family member arrives safely and comfortably. While we can coordinate with various delivery services, we generally recommend using a flight nanny. This option allows your puppy to fly in the cabin with a trusted companion, which is often less stressful than a long car ride. That said, we’re happy to work with you to create the best travel plan based on your location and your puppy’s needs. Your pup’s well-being is always our top priority!
